THE COLLINS/WARDINGHAM PROJECT
Interactive
(Independent)
9/10
Grant Collins has achieved worldwide recognition as one of the most talented drummers in existence, while Paul Wardingham is a master of both guitar and keyboards. Together, they have created an album that goes places few could imagine, drawing upon their vast reservoirs of experience and imagination to cast musical spells of stunning variety and potency. Wardingham's compositions do lean heavily towards Dream Theatre but the additional Meshuggah, Vai and Holdsworth flavours ensure that interest is maintained, while Collins' composition is otherworldly in its beauty. Fans of free flowing creativity will find much to appreciate here and musicians of all fields will be amazed at the talent on display (Greg Reason).
